Aphi-Mix-System
The parasitic wasp mix that can handle every aphid species
What is Aphi-Mix-System?- Four species of parasitic wasps: Aphelinus abdominalis, Aphidius colemani, Aphidius ervi and Aphidius matricariae
- Effective control in crops where aphids are a challenge due to:
- The sensitivity of the crop
- Mixed crops in your growing area
- The presence of a mixed aphid population
- Each parasitic wasp parasitizes another aphid species
- Precise identification of the aphid species is no longer necessary
- Female parasitic wasps prick the aphids and lay about 100 eggs in the aphids, most of them during the first 4 days of their adult life
- 1 parasitic wasp parasitizes up to 300 aphids
- The parasitic wasps detect alarm signals of an affected plant and the smell of honeydew secreted by the host. This allows them to locate aphid hot spots from a long distance
- The parasitic wasps parasitize adult and nymph aphids
- Parasitized aphids change into golden brown mummies
- Parasitic wasps can cause a panic reaction, due to which the aphids fall onto the ground and die
- Ornamental crops
- Fruit crops such as strawberry, blackberry and raspberry
- Vegetable crops such as pepper, eggplant and cucumber
